He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.

Paul and Barnabas were traveling around, sharing the Gospel message. They preached it boldly. Many accepted, while others rejected their message. When they were in Lystra, Paul was given power by the Lord to heal a lame man, a man who had never walked—until now! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Paul healed him, and scripture reveals to us why this man was selected: when Paul looked at the man, he could see “that he had faith to be healed.”
Do you believe as this man did? Do you wake up each day expecting the Lord to do great things? Or have you given up and laid to rest a big dream in your life?
You serve a God who is powerful enough to make a lame man stand up and walk! Believe in Jesus. He’s above and beyond all you can imagine. He can bring beauty from ashes in your life. He can make dry bones live again.
God, give me hope again where I am hopeless. You are a God who still works miracles in Your children’s lives. Help me believe. Help me stand up on my feet again! Amen.
