Share Your Faith

Through [ Jesus] everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Acts 13:39 NIV

Paul spoke these words to Jews in a synagogue. He was on a missionary journey with Barnabas. When he had seen the light on the road to Damascus, his life had been turned upside down. A Jew among Jews, Saul (as Paul had formerly been known) had followed the letter of the law. He knew the scriptures backward and forward. But suddenly his eyes had been opened. He knew Jesus was the Messiah, the fulfillment of the prophecies. And he could not keep the good news to himself!

The greatest news Paul had ever heard was that through Christ people could be forgiven of their sins. He shared fervently with all who would listen that this forgiveness couldn’t be obtained under the law of Moses. Paul’s chains had been loosed. His freedom was in Christ, and he longed to see others set free as well!

Do you share Christ with those around you? Do you dare to speak of Him as boldly as Paul did? Are you afraid of what others’ reactions might be? Challenge yourself this week to share your faith with at least one person. God will bless your efforts even if your message is rejected.

God, help me have the boldness of the apostle Paul. I want those around me who are lost to be saved. Amen.
