God’s Spirit

“Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God. I sent them into captivity among the nations, and I brought them back again to their land. I left none of them behind. I will no longer hide my face from them, because I will pour out my Spirit on the nation of Israel, declares the Almighty Lord.”
Ezekiel 39:28-29 GW

When you first put your trust in God, did you notice anything different? How about when you ask God for forgiveness, and receive it; do you notice anything different?

Sin can hold us captive to the love, grace, and mercy that God wants us to fully experience. But when that wall comes down, God’s spirit comes pouring out over you like the rushing waters of a river.

Proverbs 21:21 (GW) says: “Whoever pursues righteousness and mercy will find life, righteousness, and honor.” As you pursue God, He’ll fill you with more of Himself. As you trust God, you’ll want to live in right standing with Him. He doesn’t demand a perfect life from you, just one that is in relationship with Him. Ask Him for a new, fresh filling of His presence in your life today. Trust that He’ll supply enough for you.

Abba Father, I want to turn away from my sins. I ask for Your forgiveness and trust I will receive it. Now, help me to forgive myself. Please renew me by filling me with more of Your Holy Spirit.
