He Goes Above and Beyond

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
Ephesians 3:20–21 NIV

Are you one of those people who goes above and beyond—at work, in your relationships, and at play? Maybe you like to do all you’ve promised to do, and then some. If this is true of you, then you’re more like your heavenly Father than you know. His Word promises that He goes above and beyond all that we could ask or imagine.

Think about that for a moment. What have you asked for? What have you imagined? It’s amazing to think that God, in His infinite power and wisdom, can do immeasurably more than all that! How? According to the power that is at work within us. It’s not our power, thankfully. We don’t have enough power to scrape the surface of what we’d like to see done in our lives. But His power in us gets the job done. . .and more.

Praise the Lord! Praise Him in the church and throughout all generations! He’s an immeasurable God.

Heavenly Father, I feel pretty powerless at times. It’s amazing to realize You have more power in Your little finger than all of mankind has put together. Today I praise You for being a God who goes above and beyond all I could ask or imagine.
