Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord!
Psalm 31:24 AMPC
When was the last time you clung to scripture in the same way a little child, with a white-knuckled grip, held on to her daddy’s pant leg? How long has it been since you had the kind of childlike faith that believed, with expectancy, that God would grant you victory, bring about deliverance, or provide a miraculous breakthrough in your life?
If you have been a bit detached in your faith walk, today is your day to turn things around! To reconnect with expectant faith, find a Bible promise and mark it with a highlighter, pen, pencil, or child’s crayon. Or write on a note card whatever stands out to you in a chapter, passage, or verse. Then hang that card up where you will see it regularly, such as on a bathroom mirror, the refrigerator, or the dashboard of your car. Pray the words you’d like to memorize over whatever area in your life you need God’s help.
Above all, take courage and find strength in the Lord. His words are sovereign and faithful.
Jesus, I want to cling to Your truth and abide in You. Thank You for providing Your Word and Your promises. You are all I want and all I need. You are my expectation!
