Escape the Chaos

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear.
Psalm 46:1–2 NLT

At times, you may hear about war or see devastation wrought by earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, famine, tornadoes, and tsunamis. There is only one place you can go to escape the chaos.

God is your refuge, high tower, fortress, stronghold, strength. He is there at the first sign of trouble in every area of your life—within and without. He is your go-to God.

God commands you: “Be still, and know that I am God!” (Psalm 46:10 NLT). He will diminish your fears, realign your thoughts with His, settle an overwhelming peace on you, and give you a new vision.

A blind man was brought to Jesus. He took him by the hand, away from the crowd. After His first touch, the blind man saw people but they looked like trees walking. Then when Jesus touched his eyes again, the man’s sight was fully restored. “He could see everything clearly” (Mark 8:25 NLT).

Allow God to lead you away to a place where you and He can be alone. Allow Him to give you new sight and knowledge in the stillness of His presence.

Here I am, Lord. Still before You. . . . Open my eyes to Your strength, give me a new vision, as I abide quietly in Your presence.
