Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith!
Mark 9:24 AMPC
A man’s young son had issues. He would go into convulsions, foam at the mouth, grind his teeth, and then fall into a stupor. The danger was that the boy would be thrown into fire and water. The loving yet desperate father said to Jesus, “If You can do anything, do have pity on us and help us” (Mark 9:22 AMPC).
Jesus replied, “[You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!” (Mark 9:23 AMPC). That’s when the father asked Jesus to constantly help him with his weakness of faith. Moments later, Jesus healed the boy of his affliction.
Jesus has one request when you ask for help with your own issues: Take the if out of the equation when it comes to believing in His power. Have faith that He can do anything in your life, that for Him nothing is impossible.
But when (and if ) you do fall short in faith, know that the Lord will constantly help you, pouring on you more than a sufficient amount of grace, enabling Him to work even through your weakness.
No matter what your level of faith, constantly call on Jesus. He will come, grip your hand, and lift you up into a life of seemingly impossible miracles.
Jesus, everything is possible with You in my heart. Help me believe this more and more each day.
