Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13 KJV
Are you fighting a battle that seems futile? Have you lost hope of seeing a resolution? Take heart, you’re not alone. Paul, the writer of today’s verse, knew about battles, persecution, and rejection. He spent a lot of time writing his messages of hope while in jail. You may not be in a physical jail, but Satan may have you bound in a spiritual prison. It’s time to break out of jail and be the victorious Christian you want to be. “How can I do that?” you ask. Look at what Paul wrote:
- We serve a God of hope. Trust Him to supply you with hope to make it during dark days.
- God is your source. Rely on Him to fill you with joy and give you peace in the time of trouble.
- Believe that God is who He says He is, that He has made a way for you through His Son, Jesus.
- Allow the Holy Ghost to empower you to abound in hope. We are often powerless to conquer our problems, but God’s Spirit can arise within us to make us overcomers.
- Push the darkness away. God is on your side. Allow Him to work for you.
Father, empower me by Your Spirit to abound in hope as You fill me with Your joy and peace through the Holy Ghost. Amen.
