There are many ways that we can gain confidence in God. We read His Word and hear true stories of men and women who have followed God through the ages. Or we encourage each other by meeting with other believers in churches and Bible studies.We share how God has moved in our lives and we increase the faith of friends and family.
Another way to be confident in God is to start a blessings journal. Look back on your life and write down the dates and details of how you’ve seen God’s hand in your life. You’ve probably experienced more miracles and blessings than you can remember! When you write down these faith-building testimonies, you have something concrete to look at when you feel like giving up. You can read the truth of how God has showed up in your life. And you can also pass along this journal to loved ones who are feeling similarly. You have your own faith journey to share with anyone you meet.
God, my heart is confident in You, and I will give You praise. I have seen You work in my life in countless and untold ways! I commit to write down the blessings and miracles You have shown me. Use these journal entries to increase the faith of those who hear them and to remind me of Your intimate loving ways. Amen.
