“I found he had done nothing deserving of death, but because he made his appeal to the Emperor I decided to send him to Rome.”
Acts 25:25 NIV
Paul had done nothing wrong. Much like his Savior before him, he was an innocent man whom many feared and hated because he spoke truth.
You may be wrongly accused at different times in your life. You may be misunderstood or may even experience persecution. If these things come to you because of your faith, rest assured that your Judge and King will take care of it for you.
From the beginning of time, innocent men and women of faith have been mistreated for standing up for what is right. The Bible assures God-followers this will only get worse. In the last days, God’s people will be persecuted.
Even though you are living in difficult times, you need not sink down in despair. For Jesus is your Redeemer, your Savior. He provides the way for you to stand completely guiltless and stain-free before God. And until that day, He is about the business of watching over His own.
Stand up. Never shrink in the face of persecution for being a follower of the Master. It will all be worth it in the end.
Father, give me strength to stand for You even if I am misunderstood or falsely accused. Amen.
