You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:13 NLT
At the moment of your conception, roughly three million decisions were made about you. Everything from your eye color and the number of your wisdom teeth, to the shape of your nose and the swirl of your fingerprints was determined in the blink of an eye.
Now consider that there are approximately six billion human beings alive on this planet today, and each of them was as individually crafted as you. If that thought isn’t staggering enough, then think about this: It’s estimated that as many as 100 billion people have walked the earth at one time or another—and each of them was uniquely made. Wow. How can we even begin to fathom the God who is responsible for all that?
He is a big God. Unfathomable. Incomparable. Frankly, words just don’t do Him justice. And He made you. You were knit together by a one-of-a-kind, amazing God who is absolutely, undeniably, head-over-heels crazy-in-love with you. Try to wrap your brain around that.
Heavenly Father and Creator, thank You for the amazing gift of life, for my uniqueness and individuality. Help me to use my life as a gift of praise to You. Amen.
