Balance

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV

Women love to accomplish tasks. They work around the clock, taking on responsibilities that often test their strength and their health. Many times they say yes when they should say no. (Perhaps you can relate!) Today, take some time to assess your obligations. If there’s too much “moving and shaking” going on in your life, maybe it’s time to trim back and use that no word. Conversely, you might be on the opposite end of the spectrum. You wish you could get the energy to set some goals, but you’re too wiped out. Maybe it’s time to check your diet and exercise plan so you can get some relief by eating better or getting the rest you need. One thing’s for sure: God wants His daughters to accomplish great things for Him. When you’re overworked or exhausted, that won’t happen. Balance, my friend! It’s what holds every schedule together!

Lord, I want to be a mover and shaker for You. I don’t want my days to pass without being effective for the kingdom. Keep me motivated, Father, and help me to do my best, but show me when I’ve crossed over a line. All things in balance, Father. That’s my prayer. Amen.
