And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.
1 John 5:14 NLT
Barbie tried to work ahead to get things ready for their ten-hour trip to see family. The laundry was piled up in several stacks. She’d dragged the suitcases from the garage storage, and was trying to keep her list in her head straight before she forgot something she needed to add to the whiteboard in the kitchen.
But her three-year-old, Gunner, was making thinking nearly impossible with his insistent questions. Why, what for, and when seemed to be the only words he had uttered in the last thirty minutes. She struggled not to become frustrated.
Reaching the kitchen, she started to transfer the list in her head to the whiteboard when her eyes fell on the scripture she’d written days before: “We are confident that He hears us.” Suddenly she realized she hadn’t been really listening to her son. Lord, she thought, he deserves for me to hear him, just like You always hear me.
Your heavenly Father hears your questions—all of them. He never tires of your voice or becomes irritated by your continuous inquiries. You can always trust Him to provide the answer just when you need it.
Lord, I ask a lot of questions, and You always hear me. Thank You for listening. I know You’ll give me the answers I need in Your perfect time.

I’m imagining that all the questions that we placed upon God is met with a kind response of …..interesting question, I kind of have my hands tied right now and my mind is focused on this trip we are going to take. So ask me again later if you remember. I will remember so when I am able to focus on your questions and when the time is right I will answer your questions. Then God Would scoop us into his arms and give us one of us fatherly hugs🥰
He would do this with patience, kindness, self control and love as should we. Our way of passing on God’s character to our little ones…remembering that that is how God is with us “all” of His children😊
