You Don’t Have to Fight Alone

But [ Joseph’s] bow remained strong and steady and rested in the Strength that does not fail him, for the arms of his hands were made strong and active by the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.
Genesis 49:24 AMPC

It’s often easy to fight the battle on your own or try to fix things yourself, failing to remember that God stands ready to supply you with His strength. Whether the fight you face is physical or spiritual in nature, your rescue depends on your willingness to invite God to step in.

Joseph endured great adversity, starting with his older brothers selling him into slavery as a young boy. Each battle Joseph faced required courage and faith in God to rescue him and provide him with strength. Joseph’s bow remained strong because he relied on God’s strength. God’s hands supported Joseph as he used his weapon against his enemies.

As you endure difficulties, burdens, and persecution, remember that you don’t have to fight alone. God is with you and has provided you with the strength that does not fail.

God, remind me that I don’t have to do things on my own. Please give me the strength I need to face hardships. I believe that as I follow You, I cannot fail. You will fight for me. All I have to do is invite You in.
