Wait Expectantly

But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
Micah 7:7 NASB

In this verse, Micah has prayed to God and is now waiting expectantly for what He will do. How often do you pray without really thinking that God hears or cares? Maybe you think your prayers are just too big (or too small) to matter to Him.

You pray to the sovereign and all-powerful God who loves you. This means you can pray big and often and you can expect God to act. Obviously, we don’t know how God will answer a prayer, because His ways are far above our ways. So watch expectantly to see how He will act in ways beyond your imaginings.

Wait for God. Too often we become impatient after we pray, wanting a quick fix or an obvious and direct answer. In this verse we find that Micah was willing to wait for God to answer. While you wait, praise Him for what He is already doing in your life.

Your God will hear you. Be confident in this. God does not turn away from His children. He hears you and desires to give you good things. Next time you pray, be confident that the Most High God is listening.

Lord, thank You that You hear every one of my prayers. I wait expectantly to see in what ways You will answer me.
