Never Alone

Nebuchadnezzar said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who believed in, trusted in, and relied on Him! And they set aside the king’s command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
Daniel 3:28 AMPC

Stolen from their home and taken into captivity as teens, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were dedicated to God. When commanded to bow down to the king’s golden idol, they refused to violate the laws of God—even if it cost them their lives.

These three young men stood shoulder to shoulder in faith, knowing God would rescue them from the flames of the fiery furnace if He chose. Imagine how they drew courage and strength from one another, trusting God in this dreadful situation.

It can be difficult to stand for what you truly believe and trust God, but it makes it a little easier when you don’t have to go it alone. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walked through the flames together and, though they had each other, they had another with them who looked to the king like the Son of God.

You never have to walk through flames alone. Trust that the Son of God stands with you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to stand with me in the fiery times of my life. I trust that I never have to go through anything alone.
