2 Thessalonians 3:5 NLT
We can’t begin to comprehend all God does for us. Even before we allow Him to lead us, He is part of our universe. Without Him, the world would be devoid of love, kindness, joy, patience, or anything positive that people take for granted and expect. His love directs the events of the entire cosmos—heaven and earth—with or without the consent of individuals or governments
The Lord yearns to direct each of our hearts so we understand the patient, enduring love of Christ. Why would anyone resist? It makes no sense, yet we’re all guilty of going our own way sometimes, not allowing the one who created us to complete His masterpiece the way He wants.
If we try to control our own destiny, we flounder and our lives are full of confusion. We search for love in the things of this world, but we find broken hearts. When we seek joy, we only face emptiness. We convince ourselves there is no truth, because we ignore reality. We waste time searching for things that bring no satisfaction.
When we bow our hearts and minds to the Creator and follow Him, we can bask in the calm of His unwavering peace. He leads us into a full understanding of true love and abundant life.
Dear Father, I ask You to continually fill me with Your love. Please lead me into a full understanding of Your love, and keep me from choosing the wrong path. Amen.
