God Was Always There

For behold, He Who forms the mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what is his thought, Who makes the morning darkness and treads on the heights of the earth—the Lord, the God of hosts, is His name!
Amos 4:13 AMPC

Who is God to you? He can be many different things in your life. Sometimes He’s your comforter, provider, or friend. He’s the anchor that holds your ship firm in the middle of the most difficult crisis. He’s your salvation, redeeming you from whatever you need to be saved from. And He’s your strength, infusing you with His very life in times when you don’t think you can take another step.

David, a mighty warrior, knew his triumphs were not his own. During his struggles, he looked to God, his anchor, his hideaway, his defense, and his power.

Perhaps your road has not been easy but, looking back, you see God was always there. How many times have you fallen, only to have Him pick you up? He’s helped you climb mountains and travel treacherous valleys, and not once did He ask you to go it alone.

Take courage today in who God is and who He’s created you to be. Lean into His faithfulness, trusting that you never have to journey alone.

God, thank You for the obstacles I’ve overcome and everything You’ve taught me along the way. You stand with me, encouraging me and showing me the right path.
