A Covenant

This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Hebrews 8:10 NIV

This verse echoes similar words that are found in Jeremiah 32:38 (NIV): “They will be my people, and I will be their God.”

Woven into the old and the new covenant, these are powerful words that signify the meaning and depth about the relationship you have with your Creator. They are words etched deep in your mind and heart, signifying not just God’s commitment to you but His love for you.

Trusting God is not only living out a faith-saving relationship with Him. Trusting God also means reading and meditating on the Word of God in such a way that it becomes not just an essential part of who you are, but alive and active within you.

Meditate on these verses. Consider the power of God’s words, the commitment He has pledged to you, and His never-ending love for you.

Father, You made a covenant with me before I was conceived inside of my mother’s womb. Thank You for being my God. I want to be one of Your people who trusts You with everything in my life. May I have a renewed sense of this covenant with You today.
