Answered Prayer

Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. . . . Peter exclaimed, “Lord, it’s wonderful for us to be here!” . . . But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”
Matthew 17:1, 4, 5 NLT

You may have experienced some rough patches in your life, a time when you were discouraged, praying and standing in faith day after day yet getting no tangible results. And then, wham! God showed up in an amazingly big way.

That’s when you realized that God was at work the whole time; you just couldn’t see all that He was doing. And then there was good news and answered prayers all around.

Times like those should encourage you. For answered prayer will give you the courage to trust God more in the times when it seems like He’s silent. In future challenges, you will find yourself even more confident that He will be at work in the middle of it all—even as you speak.

God, You are in the middle of it all. Thank You for being so faithful, always at work, providing Your very best for me! Thanks for giving me the confidence to trust You more every day.
