The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalm 19:7–8 NKJV
Jesus is the Word of God. The Word of God came to earth in human form and lived among people. He fulfilled His earthly purpose as He gave His life in exchange for yours. His death, burial, and resurrection opened the door for you to experience eternal life, starting now, always living and dwelling in His presence.
You grow in relationship with your heavenly Father as you come to understand Him and His ways through the Bible. Psalm 19:7 says, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.” The law—or the scriptures from God’s Word—renews your soul. As you live and breathe in the wisdom and knowledge God has revealed to you through His words, your soul is made new in Him.
Just as the sun restores a darkened earth’s light, the word of God restores your entire person, bringing your mind, will, and emotions back to that divine connection for which you were created—a relationship with Him.
Jesus, I desire Your truth found in the Holy Scriptures as much as I desire sunlight. Let Your Word renew my soul and bring me into a closer relationship with You.
