Love Each Other Well

“The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”
Isaiah 58:11 NIV

Without life-giving water, a garden will dry up, eventually turn to dust, and blow away. In areas where springs stop bubbling, life stagnates. You want your life to be like a well-watered garden, bearing fruit day after day. You want to be like a cool, bubbling spring, flowing and nurturing everything around you.

Abiding close to the heart of God is the secret to being replenished by the Master Gardener. God knows that living apart from Him leaves you with scorched places within. Time with Him renews you with waters that never fail. No matter your circumstances, step into the lush oasis created by God for those who seek Him. Linger there, gaining refreshment of soul and clarity of mind.

God desires His children to love each other well. When you treat others by God’s standards of justice, He promotes healing and strength in your life as described in this chapter of Isaiah.

Physical strength provides stamina and health to dry bones. Strength of spirit allows you to be brave in uncertainty. The strength God provides is a sure and solid power. It will not leave you faltering or failing—but ever fruitful and flowing.

God, thank You, my Master Gardener, for tending me with Your loving hand.
