Tell Others

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Psalm 105:1 NLT

With social media influencing our world in countless ways, believers truly do have the opportunity to tell the whole world what God has done in our lives! It’s easy to get caught up in drama and politics when you go online to connect with friends, but God wants us to be lights in those dark places. Instead of getting involved in heated discussions, encourage. Instead of adding to negative comments or getting frustrated with someone who won’t change her mind, show love.

Give thanks to the Lord and tell others of the great things He’s done in your life. Telling people what they should or shouldn’t do is not our job. Shaming people is never helpful. Only God can change hearts and minds. Instead, our job is to tell others what God has done in our lives.

If you don’t have much to tell, then ask God to fill your heart to overflowing with His joy and goodness. Get to the bottom of your faith and find out what is true and right based on God’s great love for you. Then out of the overflow of your heart you can speak truth into other people’s lives (see Luke 6:45).

God, help me to be a light in the darkness. Give me the words to say when interacting with others online. Help me love with my words and actions. Amen.
