Let Go of Your Guilt

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 NASB

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This means there is no room for guilt or blame in your life. Even when you do things that make you feel like you have failed God, yourself, or others, your standing before God does not change. When you are in Christ, you are clothed in the clean, holy robes of God’s Son. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see the sins you’ve committed or the things you haven’t done; He sees His holy, blameless Son.

How is this possible? It’s possible because Christ died in your place. The sins that would have condemned you in God’s holy court were placed on Christ’s shoulders and buried with Him. They have no hold over you anymore. So let go of your guilt and regret. Acknowledge that Christ’s work on the cross was enough to cleanse and purify you before a holy God. Live in the freedom of the knowledge that no one and nothing can condemn you. Christ has stood in your place so that you can come boldly before the Father in the clean robes that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. Ask for His forgiveness and claim His forgiveness in your life.

Lord, thank You that I am not and cannot be condemned because I am in Christ. Help me to more fully understand what Christ did for me on the cross so that I can let go of the guilt and blame I so often carry.
