God Is at Work

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT

Seeing your loved ones suffer is difficult. Mothers especially know this, for good mothers tend to feel their own child’s pain, whether it’s caused by physical addiction, illness or injury, divorce or other loss, spiritual doubt or confusion, financial bankruptcy or debt, or mental issues—the list can go on and on.

The concern you, as a woman, have for others can almost consume you. You imagine a thousand things that could come from the current situation and another thousand ways you could possibly fix things. You find yourself wanting to wrap your arms around your loved one and tell him it’s going to be okay. But deep down you know it’s going to hurt for a while.

Chin up, woman. You know God is at work behind the scenes. He makes all things beautiful in His time. He is there to heal your loved one—and you. Yes, God will make it beautiful again. You just have to believe it till you see it.

God, You are making all things beautiful in Your time. Amid the turmoil in my life and the lives of those I love, I will trust You.
