Ask for Help

Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.
Proverbs 11:14 MSG

Hikers have been known to freeze, go hungry, or get lost when they don’t pay attention to necessary details. Sometimes search parties are required to rescue them. So before setting off on a hike in the wilderness, careful planning needs to take place.

Most of life can be set on course or fine-tuned with good directions. Relationships, parenting, and finances are all areas where wise counsel can make a difference. Sensible suggestions from a knowledgeable person are like gold coins in your pocket. They are a treasure trove for life.

Being humble enough to ask for help doesn’t make you appear ignorant. On the contrary, only motivated people seek assistance. Be one of those who has a pocketful of solid advice to draw from on your journey to wherever it is you are going. You will get there sooner and have an easier time along the way with help.

Everyone has made wrong turns before. So if you find yourself off track, consider your options. If you have lost your way, now is a great time to seek advice. God loves to set you on the path to success. And He will put people in your life to do just that!

Father God, help me seek the best advice possible and direct my steps today. I trust You to be at work in my life. Amen.
