Allow Change

If you love learning, you love the discipline that goes with it—how shortsighted to refuse correction!
Proverbs 12:1 MSG

Although the old and familiar are comforting, being willing to allow change within is important. For God, the only One who never changes, would like to transform you from the inside out as you move through life. This will happen, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, but always in a way that moves you from glory to glory.

Change occurs in you as you spend time with God, learning about Him from His Word. His truths go into the dark places of your heart and let in light. As you understand how completely you are loved and accepted, you will find the courage to let go of the ideal, of perfection. You will let go of fear and worry as you grow to trust God more and more. You will become satisfied, even overjoyed, with what God says about you, and stop seeking approval from others. Yes, woman, change can be beautiful.

When you believe deeply that God will never, ever abandon or reject you, you can let go of old habits and thought patterns that have kept you frozen in place. As you begin loving, learning, and thriving on correction, you will be find more and more pleasure in your inner beauty.

God, thank You for working out Your beautiful salvation in me.
