“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
Dreams, goals, and expectations are part of our daily lives. We have an idea of what we want and how we’re going to achieve it. Disappointment can raise its ugly head when what we wanted—what we expected—doesn’t happen like we thought it should or doesn’t happen as fast as we planned.
Disappointment can lead to doubt. Perhaps questions tempt you to doubt the direction you felt God urging you to pursue. Don’t quit! Don’t give up! Press on with your dream. Failure isn’t failure until you quit. When it looks like it’s over, stand strong. With God’s assistance, there is another way, a higher plan, or a better time to achieve your dream.
God knows the dreams He has placed inside of you. He created you and knows what you can do—even better than you know yourself. Maintain your focus—not on the dream but on the Dream Maker—and together you will achieve your dream.
God, thank You for putting dreams in my heart. I refuse to quit. I’m looking to You to show me how to reach my dreams. Amen.
