You Are on God’s Mind

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
Psalm 139:16–17 NLT

The words “I’m thinking of you,” often bring comfort in the midst of a personal struggle or family crisis. It’s soothing to know someone cares—and that you are in his or her thoughts.

Have you ever wondered what God thinks about you? Not a moment passes that you are not in His thoughts. From the very beginning of time, your Father’s thoughts for you compelled Him to send His Son, Jesus, to the cross so you could have an eternal relationship with Him. Even amid the most trying personal crisis of Jesus’ life—while hanging on the cross—you were on the heart of the Father.

What a powerful revelation to know you are on God’s mind. Take time today to contemplate this news from a novel perspective. Let this truth sink into your heart so you begin to understand how God thinks about you.

God, thank You for reminding me that because every day of my life is recorded in Your book, nothing about my life catches You off guard. That even when my mind is full of things, sometimes even crowding out thoughts of You, You are still thinking about me.
