For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Have you ever been completely surprised and delighted by a present? God the Father has given each believer the amazing gift of His Spirit. This gift is too immense to wrap yet lives inside you so that you are never without it.
God has gifted you a spirit of power, for He knows you will have many battles to fight. You will need to endure hard times. You may need to defend yourself against those who would want you to think you are less than you are. Using your spirit of power for good will only confirm your courage.
God has given you a spirit of love. This gift whispers of endurance, grace, and even boldness. To love boldly despite past hurts isn’t easy. But God’s love triumphs over all obstacles. So don’t be afraid to love others and yourself with abandonment.
A sound mind is a gift that is well balanced and keeps all things in calm perspective. When the chaos of the day begins to swirl around you, breathe deeply and remember you have the sound mind of Christ. It’s steady and able to accurately prioritize the steps needed to flourish.
Father God, I’m in awe of Your Spirit within me. Thank You for Your amazing gift! Let power, love, and a sound mind be my watchwords every day.
