What does your heart desire? If you are walking with God, you should be paying attention to your heart’s yearnings. That may be the very thing God has already gone ahead and prepared for you to do or be.
You were created with talents, preferences, and a personality unique to you. And God will direct your plans to follow where those things lead. Listen to what your heart hopes for. Test it and determine how and where God is using your heart messages to direct you.
Sometimes you may be unsure of what you want. You have been so busy taking care of others that you haven’t stopped to consider what you desire. No worries. God knows the longings of your heart. Ask Him to clarify any dormant dreams or uncertainties.
Scripture promises that if you delight in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart (see Psalm 37:4 NIV). Trusting God to do so might not seem reasonable or safe if you have had disappointments in the past. Yet God alone is worthy of your total confidence. Because He loves you like no other, you can trust Him. Have confidence in all He is doing in your life, as well as what He plans to do.
God, thank You for the delights You bring to my life. I trust You to bring good things in my future.
